75’ to 100’ Length of 1 1/2” Fire Hose to be used for “World Record Hose Stretch” with proceeds going to Camp Bucko! With this purchase, you are invited to attend the event to help break the World Record and connect your hose to the next inline. After the record has been verified, take your hose as a souvenir, or feel free to donate the hose to a to be determined organization.

            The Fire Sprinkler Podcast with our supporting organizations are looking to support Camp BUCKO by breaking the Guinness World Record for longest stretch of connected fire hose. The current world record sits at 63.206kms and was set by the South Tyrol Brigade in Brubeck, Italy.

               I think we can do better…

With your help, we can break this world record while raising a substantial amount of money for Camp BUCKO. Here’s my idea.

Occupant use class II fire hose is going the way of the Dodo, what better way to retire these former pieces of fire protection equipment then to donate them to the “Longest Hose You’ve Never Seen” world record attempt. Donated lengths will be sold for $50/length. Purchased hose will not only be used for the World Record Breaking event, but also give you the opportunity to help by coupling an end of your hose to the next! The hose becomes a keep-sake, a numbered and identified hose for you to do what you like, a souvenir to remember the difference that you made not only in this world record, but in the lives of all the children that attend Camp BUCKO. The goal is 100km’s… or 3,281-100’ hoses…or 4,375-75’ hoses…But that’s a “me” problem

Here’s the ask, as you remove 1½” fire hose from service, roll it up, throw it in a garbage bag, do what what ever you want with it. JUST PLEASE DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! The hose will not be pressurized during the event, but the couplings are required to remain in tact. Our team will arrange to pick up hoses as required, so they are not a burden to your ongoing operations.

Camp BUCKO (Burn Camp for Kids in Ontario) is a camp open to burn survivors between the ages of 7-17.  The camp has grown to over 70 children attending the week long camp in August.  There is no fee to attend Camp BUCKO. Camp Bucko is a  registered charity providing the program through generous donations from Firefighters Associations, service groups, and other public and private organizations. A Board of volunteers from across Ontario plans for camp all year. With the donations they receive they are able to fully fund each child’s stay at camp, their transportation and provide them with souvenirs from camp, otherwise known as “swag”.
